Compact XS and Compact S are designed for the fast separation of low to middle numbers of samples in mini and standard gel formats.

Both models differ in the size of the included gel tray. The chamber compatibility with both gel trays provides great versatility to respond to different or changing application tasks. The range of nine different combs inclusive four multichannel pipet compatible combs meets all needs. Rubber feet reliably prevent the chambers from slipping on the bench.

Suited for all models from the Compact family, Biometra's Agarose Gel Calculator will be of help to specifically adjust the amount of agarose gel solution to the sample volume to be applied. Different savings will be achieved hereby with especially small sample volumes:
|
- less amount of agarose required
- less Ethidium bromide has to be used
- disposal costs for stained gels will be reduced
|
|
Given larger volumes have to be applied to the gel like in several downstream processes, also here the ideal amount of agarose gel solution required can be calculated.
